Story Start
You sighed, sitting in Kanda's room. You always figured out how to get in, even though he hated it when you did. You watched the lotus float in the hour glass on his desk. You were waiting for him to come back from his mission, he went somewhere in Germany, you didn't know exactaly where, you just knew Germany. Usually you two were always on missions together.
You gasped slightly as a petal fell from the lotus. 'Damn.' You thought bitterly. 'He used one of those techniques.' You shut your eyes tightly, holding back your tears. If he died, you wouldn't make it. You shook your head quickly, hoping to shake those thoughts out. Maybe some rest would help. You laid your head down on the night stand. Oh, he was so going to kill you when he came in.
Kanda sighed and ran his hand through his blue hair. Usually Airi was there to greet him when he came back from his missions, or she was with him. He bumped into Allen on his way to his room. "Watch it beansprout." He grumbled. Allen glared at him. "My name is Allen! Anyway have you seen Airi, I wanted to know if she wanted to eat dinner with us." He said. Kanda shook his head. "No." He said before wlaking to his door.
Slowly he opened his door, feeling as though someone or somehting was inside, he placed a hand on his trusty Mugen. He walked in his room and saw a person at his nightstand. He sighed and rubbed his temples. "Airi, what are you doing?" He grumbled. You didn't move. He blinked, a little worried. You always answered him. He walked over to her and looked at you. You were asleep. He sighed and placed a hand on top of your head.
"Airi-chan, what's wrong?"
He rarely whispered like that but when it was his best friend, he didn't mind showing you anything. Even his soft side. You stirred a little and opened your eyes. "Kanda-kun?" You whispered. "What are doing in my room?" He asked. You sat up and rubbed the sleep from your eyes. "I was waiting for you." You smiled slightly. He chuckled. "Airi, if you were tired you should've just slept in your room." He sat down on his bed, resting Mugen down on his dresser.
You sighed and looked at the lotus. "Kanda...." You trailed off. "Hm?" He asked, laying down on his bed. "What happened?" He opened one eye lazily and looked at his lotus. "Nothing, Airi-chan, don't worry about me. I'm fine. It's one leaf." You stood up quickly, knocking the chair over. "What the hell Kanda!? One leaf!? One leaf could lead to three?!? And then the rest!?! You could die in a matter of months!!" You yelled at him.
"Yea."
You couldn't take him anymore. He was being such a dick. Quickly you stormed off to the door. The next thing you knew Kanda had your wrist in his hand. "Airi-chan?" He asked. You shook your head. "Let go Kanda." You growled. He glared at her. "Why are you acting like this?" He asked forcefully. "Why are you acting like this?" You asked back angrily. He sighed. "Get over it, if I die I die."
You shook your head quickly, tears brimming your eyes. "That's not it Yuu." He looked you up and down. He'd never seen you this, what was the word? Vulnerable. He'd never seen you this vulnerable. You were always the tough kid, never showing your emotions unless it was required, you never even got angry. You were always cool, calm, and collected.
"Ai-Airi?"

You couldn't look at him. Why were you acting this way? Why? Because you loved him. You were in love with Yuu Kanda. "Kanda-kun?" you choked out. "Hm?" He said quietly. You started to sob, loudly. Kanda jumped a little surprised by this, he'd never seen you cry, EVER. You must have been really scared.
Kanda froze when you flung your arms around his neck. You sobbed quite hysterically into his chest. "Please, please don't die Yuu-kun!" You sobbed, holding him tighter. He sighed. "I can't promise you anything, you know that." You squeezed him tighter.
"If you die, I'll kill you." You sniffled, feeling most of your tears dried up, but you never let him go. He chuckled slightly. "Che, that doesn't make any sense, baka." He said, but you could feel the smirk in his voice. You shook your head against his shoulder. "Whatever." Slowly adn unsurely he wrapped his arms around your lower back, even though he had known you all his life, he rarely ever hugged you, and when he did he felt awkward. You giggled a little. "Why do wou not like to hug people Yuu-kun?" You asked childishly. His eye twitched in annoyance but he blew it off.
Kanda felt, well, weird. Yea he had hugged you, it was a little awkward, but now...Now you were adults and he was hugging you....It felt, good, but weird at the same time. Your skin made his burn with every touch. Was this the love everyone always talked about?
"Ai...Airi...Airi-chan...I..." He couldn't finish his sentence. She laughed and pulled away from him and wiped her eyes. "Sorry." She whispered. He shook his head and smirked. "Che, shut up." He said. She laughed slightly and pushed his chest. "You're so mean to mee, Yuu." She faked hurt and pouted. He chuckled slightly but couldn't take his eyes offf her lips. Your eyes widened at what happened next.

Quickly he threw you on the bed, making you yelp. He jumped on top of you, attacking your neck and slipping his hands under your shirt as he straddled your waist. "Yuu-kun!" You called out, as quietly as you could, when he sucked on yur soft spot. He growled when you called out his first name and bit down on your neck, making you yelp.
He chuckled under his breath and sat up a little, ripping your shirt off over your head. Your eyes widened as he kissed you harder this time. You wrapped your arms around his neck, slipping your hands in his long blue hair. You pulled the ponytail that was holding his hair up out and threw it on the floor. His long hair cascaded over his shoulders, a few strands hitting your face. It was now you realized he had no shirt on. When did he take it off? Wow, you were slow.
Kanda pulled away from your lips and hovered over your chest. "You can't be too loud." He whispered. You nodded and he kissed the sides of your breasts. You moaned and arched your back so he could take your bra off. You blushed bright red but thankfully he didn't see it.

Slowly you wrapped your legs around his waist, making him go deeper. 'Shit.' He thought. 'Why did I do this?' You were exhausted, but you couldn't let sleep over come you yet, you wanted to know what was wrong with Kanda. "Yuu-kun, tell me what's wrong?" You asked, looking up at his face. His eyes visibly softened at your quiet tone. "Would you really be sad if I died?" He asked after a few minutes of silence. You cuddled into his chest and nodded. He sighed. "Go to sleep Airi-chan, I will see you in the morning." He told you. You nodded and closed your eyes. Before you fell asleep you heard him coo softly,
"Aishiteru, Airi-chan."
